Things Are Just Great

Well, Lily was right about Amos. He has been so nice to me now that he is used to me being around. We all go out in the yard with our Mom and Dad and play together when the weather is good, and when it's not, we hang out together in the house.
My Mom and Dad are really proud of me for not having any accidents in the house since I've been here. It's been easy for me; I go out with Lily and Greta and Amos and they all showed me the best places in the yard to do my thing.
The biggest news I have today is that my Mom and Dad gave me a new name. Since I'm sweet, they named me Jujubee, after a candy. They call me Juju for short, and I like the sound of it.
Life is really good here in my new home, and I'm getting more and more settled in every day.
I have to go lay in a sunbeam now, but I'll post again soon.

A Whole New World

Things are so different here in my new home. I have two sisters, Lily and Greta, who have welcomed me and made me feel really welcome. I also have a new brother. His name is Amos and he is a little bit irritated with me, but Greta said he was the same way when she first came to the family, and now they love each other a whole lot. Lily and Greta tell me that he'll be the same with me too before much longer. He's just a dumb boy, so what can you expect, is what Lily told me. She's bigger and older and she knows Amos a lot better than I do, so I'll take her word for it.

Greta and I got to go for a ride with my new Mom yesterday. We drove to a place called Tulip Town and got some tulip bulbs that Mom says will be beautiful in the spring. We also went to an apple farm and I got to taste some fresh apples. They were so good!

Finally when we got home, my new Dad came home and I was so happy! He's the best. He is really nice and I just love him to pieces. We sat together on the couch and watched the news on TV and then later on when his back was sore and he wanted to lie on the floor, I sat there on the floor with him, so he wouldn't be lonely.

Mom and Dad had popcorn and Greta and Amos and Lily all liked the popcorn but it didn't agree with me at all. So I had some bison treats instead that my wonderful foster mom had made and sent with me here to my new home.

My new dad says that Gypsy means a wanderer, and he says my wandering days are over now, so he wants me to have a new, pretty name to go with my new life. There have been a lot of suggestions so far, but we haven't picked one we like best yet, although we definitely have narrowed it down.

There have been a lot of changes for me, but Lily and Greta tell me that everything is going to be just great, and I think they're right about that.

Gypsy goes to her new home

Gypsy has gone to her new home. She will be living with Jim, Maria and Miles and their bully bunch Lily, Amos and Gretta. She took to them immediately and has even found herself a person to velcro to.

Here she is making herself right at home:

We were fortunate to have this little girl in our home. She was only here a few weeks but she made a huge impact. She worked so hard on her potty training and was ever so eager to please.
We will miss her but we know that she is in good hands with Jim and Maria. Thanks Gypsy - you're my girl.

Oh what a nice day today

Today was the Perfect day to be outside playing. I had so much fun running around and playing with my dog friends- they took some photos of me:

Doing great!

Hello all. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm doing great in my foster home.

I have a lab and a bulldog to play with and I get to go for long walks "twice" a day. They seem to have a squirrel infestation problem which I'm helping with by chasing them all out of the yard. I'm eating all of my food cause they say I need to put on some pounds - if that's like pound cake I'll take some please.

I'm also doing very well at my potty training; really - all you had to do was ask - I'm happy to go outside especially if I have a nice comfy coat to keep me warm.

I'm learning all kinds of new things; I already knew how to sit but who knew that these humans liked it that you should go to them when they call your name? Well, if it makes 'em happy I can do it. Oh yeah, I'm also training them to give me treats; if they have a treat in their hand, all I have to do is lay down on the floor and look cute and I get a cookie. Works every time, hehehe.

So, this new place is full of strange noises which I can tell you is taking some gettin' used to, but I'm doing all right. Once I hear the noises a couple of times, it's just kinda ole hat so I ignore them.

I really just love being with the humans; wherever they go in the house, I just kind of tag along and they like it if I just curl up on a blanky and rest and wait for them to go to the next place, cause, you know they need watchin'.

Well, ok, I'll keep you posted; gotta go now; nap time.

Welcome Gypsy

Gypsy, is a 3 yr old female Frenchie/Bulldog mix

She is very timid, but comes around easily. She seems to get along with other dogs but will be working more on her house breaking, she is coming along nicely. Very cuddly and sweet. Could use about 4 more pounds. She is not accustomed to loud noises and strange new things.

Gypsy will need a quiet home ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
